Borderline Trail
The idea of the Borderline Trail grew from a simple desire to allow people to enjoy the magnificent North Northumberland landscape on foot, by bicycle , on horseback and for people with movement difficulties away from cars.
The vision is to connect a traffic free Greenway trail from Alnmouth Station to the Aln Valley Greenway through Alnwick onto the track of the former Alnwick to Cornhill disused railway line all the way to the Scottish Border via Wooler. The trail would then connect to the track of former Tweed Valley Railway to Berwick where it joins National Cycle Route 1 at the coast for its journey south back to Alnmouth.
